In October 2018, Syngenta, one of the worldwide leading manufacturers of crop protection products and seeds, opened a Digital Innovation Lab in Kyiv, the sixth location in the company’s global laboratory network. The laboratory office in Kyiv is located in the innovative UNIT.City technology park.
Over the past year and a half, Syngenta has launched five similar projects in different countries around the globe. Now, the company runs the laboratories in the United States, China, India, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
The Ukrainian Digital Innovation Lab is an independent entity with its own employees and business plan. It is equipped with all necessary hardware and software, allowing the laboratory to develop a wide range of digital products in the field of web development, big data, mobile applications, virtual reality and the Internet of Things. It should be noted that in the future the agro-giant plans to make the laboratory a leading supplier of services and products for Ukrainian and European agricultural companies.
Syngenta’s laboratories in other countries are focused on researching the demand for digital products, as well as developing concepts and prototypes of products. The Ukrainian laboratory will complement the work of other laboratories by offering a complete cycle of solution development – from researching and modeling prototypes of digital products to developing ready-to-use products that can be integrated with existing Syngenta systems.
Syngenta is one of the worldwide leading manufacturers of crop protection products and seeds. The company employs 28,000 people in more than 90 countries around the world.
